Electromagnet Repair
Electromagnets differ from your run-of-the-mill "permanent" magnets, like the ones holding your Popsicle art to the fridge. As you know, magnets have two poles, "north" and "south," and attract things made of steel, iron or some combination thereof. Like poles repel and opposites attract. An electromagnet is the same way, except it is "temporary" -- the magnetic field only exists when electric current is flowing.
The most common issue an electromagnet may have is common cause among most electrical machines and motors and that is the failure of the coil winding burn-out due to abuse of specifications, such as operating well beyond the duty cycle and exposing to conditions the unit may not have been designed for. Once this issue occurs make sure to give Texas Electric Motors a call (469) 381-7020.
